“ It was indeed a great experience overall. Literally made my day and will visit again for sure. I tried a vegetarian bowl with my wife and The lemon rice, chana masala, butter naan, and onion kulcha were amazing. Gulab Jamuns were awesome (3 pieces in one plate). It has South Indian options too like Dosa and Uthappam. Will definitely try something else later. The masala chai is also very good. ”
“ Newly opened Fusion Indian place in the Crown Area of Gaithersburg. The concept is similar to chipotle where you can mix and match whatever you want and In whatever quantity if you take the bowl which 10.95 plus tax plus you get a naan with it. Also tried the paneer shaslik that was really good was served with Basmati Rice must try. They also offered a free dessert Gulab Jamun that was really nice of them. Also do try the fried okara if they have on the menu. If you are in Gaithersburg area make sure you try out this place. ”

“ First visit to spicelife, casual restaurant.Make your own bowl or order from the display. Food was good we odered Masala dosa which came out as it should be crispy, along with sambhar indian vegetable spice broth, coconut chutney and tomato chutney. Also had make your own bowl option to pick dishes from display. Service was good, since it fast casual restaurant. Public Parking is next to it. If you want anything spicy ask them otherwise it will come out bland. ”

The menu was packed with options- so many amazing-sounding dishes it was hard to choose-but the staff was incredibly friendly and helped us pick the perfect meal. Their kindness and prompt service made the whole experience even better. Now the food... absolutely phenomenal. Every bite was bursting with rich, layered flavor. The chicken tikka was the highlight- tender, rich, and perfectly coated in a creamy, spiced sauce that was out of this world. You could taste the depth of the spices without anything being overpowering. It was bold, balanced, and completely satisfying. We also loved that dine-in came with real plates and silverware- it felt more like a relaxed restaurant than a casual counter spot. Portions were generous, prices were totally fair, and everything tasted homemade and fresh. Truly one of the most flavorful meals we’ve had in a long time. Can’t wait to come back and try more! ”
“ We went here to get Dosas. We tried the rava onion masala dosa and vindaloo dosa. Vindaloo dosa was spicy and savory. Comes with Masala. Spicyness was perfect. Comes with 2 sauces and a curry. Rava onion masala dosa has cashew and onion. It was good too. Not the best dosas we have tasted. But did the job. ”

Update: found out that this is a family business, and that the uncle trained the chef for seven years for the Maryland restaurant. The niece, Sailu, runs the Alexandria restaurant. ”
